In 2007 two exciting new versions of e-KSF were planned, each containing useful features to help you get the most out of e-KSF and the KSF process. Version 5.2, went live in May and Version 6.0 went live on Monday 1st October. As the e-KSF is web based you don’t need to do anything to get the new versions, we manage all updates at our end. Simply log in to e-KSF as usual and you’ll see the new functions.
Version 6.0 - released 1st October 2007
Version 6 was launched on Monday 1st October as scheduled.
We also don’t anticipate that version 6 will require any additional training, or re-training, for users. All of the new functions are straightforward and are accompanied by updated user guides, available on the e-KSF homepages, and within the ' Training Materials' section of this site.
Please see the document “e-KSF version 6 full release notes” to see all new functions. The main ones are highlighted below: -
Ability for one person to have multiple post outlines, and different reviewers for each outline –all feeding a single PDP
Managers can now view, and comment on, the e-KSF reviews for all of their staff. (previously this was only visible to direct reviewers).
Managers and administrators can assign post outlines to staff “in bulk”, rapidly speeding up this process
More rapid assignment of managers to staff – making it easier for administrators to set up manager/staff relationships
Revamped confidentiality rules so that if an individual changes managers or organisations, the new manager and reviewer cannot view old reviews/objectives/PDPs without the individual’s agreement
An overhaul of e-KSF reports – we’ve spent lots of time checking that the e-KSF reports are accurate, easy to understand and bug-free.
Dramatically improved email alerts/reminders function, allowing administrators to customise reminders, and allowing all users to view alerts on their e-KSF homepages.
e-KSF version 6, as is the case with all e-KSF developments, has been created in direct response to feedback from you, our users. So thank you for taking the time to send in your comments and suggestions, and please keep them coming!
Version 5.2 - Live May 2007
Version 5.2 of e-KSF, went live in May and included a wide range of new reports, both for e-KSF administrators and also specifically for manager users of the system. This means that individual managers in the organisation are able to use e-KSF to see how the KSF is proceeding for their direct reports, and also obtain team-level overviews.
