e-KSF and Quarterly Monitoring
Have you completed your quarterly KSF returns, yet? In England the NHS Staff Council request quarterly reports of progress, usually via the Strategic Health Authorities. If you don’t know about the returns process, please click here for the “Monitoring the KSF” document and click here for the communication that the KSFG sends quarterly to all SHAs for forwarding to individual organisations.
Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland have alternative processes for checking that KSF is being implemented, but wherever you are you can run these reports from e-KSF.
If your organisation is using e-KSF, then e-KSF administrators can run reports with a few clicks, straight from e-KSF, to help you complete these returns.
Simply:
1. Log in to e-KSF admin page
2. Click “View Reports”
3. Click “KSF Monitoring Reports”
4. Click “KSF – Overall Summary of Progress” for information about how many staff have post outlines, reviews, PDPs (this is split by directorate, but you can see a totals row at the bottom for overall figures)
5. Or – Click “KSF – Gateway Outcomes” to see how many staff have had a gateway review, and what the result was. For each of these reports, of course, e-KSF can only show you data for staff registered on the system, so you might need to add information from staff using paper-based reviews to give a complete picture of your organisation.
