Online Communities Launched

In order to support KSF Leads outside of the regional network meetings in the East of England and South West SHAs (and the East Midlands shortly), online communities have been launched. These communities are a form of social software - a virtual environment where individuals can collectively share information and communicate with one another across geographic locations.

This type of technology has been used by a number of organisations in response to problems such as travel restrictions, geographically dispersed teams, remote workers; a more transient workforce which makes the management of knowledge a critical success factor for organisations; and an increasing use of the web for personal and professional reasons.

The online communities provide a safe environment for KSF Leads to discuss issues relating to the KSF / e-KSF implementation, share best practice, and share other useful documents. The communities also help the SHA KSF Leads in managing and communicating with their networks. Through working more collaboratively across the regions there should be a reduction of duplication of effort and work.

We have also created a specialist community for UK Ambulance Trusts which has been co-ordinated by David Clark, for further details on this please contact him directly on david@e-ksf.org

If you would like further information on these online communities or are interested in launching one for your network please contact info@e-ksf.org.
